What is love?

Throughout the centuries, painters, spiritualists, writers, and poets have taken a shot at truly capturing the essence of this feeling, this sentiment, this reason for being. But, just as anything worth exploring, it remains, and will remain a mystery - just slightly out of the human's reach.

What is love?

I will tell you what it is not.

It is not the sculpting, programming, and shaping of an individual according to our greatest desires.

It is not living vicariously through the very life energy of another human being in order to right whatever wrongs we feel were put upon us or caused by us.

It is not control.

It is not ownership.

It is not the poisoning of innocence and vulnerability so that we may claim some kind of vindictive victory.

It is not the relentless attempt to create our very own Frankenstein's monster in a pathetic attempt to be worshipped, adorned, revered.

What is love?

Humbled enough to realize that I will be in a continuous adventure of discovery, I will attempt to share what my new understanding of love actually is.

Love is the selfless ability to watch a flower grow without influence.

Love is the pure and instant joy we feel when a person walks into a room.

It is the sensation of being effortlessly lifted off of the ground in pure ecstasy.

Love is the most brilliant radiance of light.

And it is in the eyes.

Love is in the eyes.

Love takes ahold of our emotions and leaves us naked and defenseless.

Love is our very ability to not resist, but rather succumb to its powers, regardless of what lies ahead.

Love exposes us to the deepest of pain and beckons us to rise again.

And it is in the eyes.

Love is in the eyes.

Sit silently today and let the music resonate to your very core.

Sit silently and let go.

Let it all go.

Renew your spirit and when you are ready, please love again - it is our very reason for living.

And it is in the eyes.

Love is most definitely in the eyes.
