Hi there, I'm so glad you are here.

 

My name is Carreen and I have been a writer my entire life - yes, that's a rather long time now in case you were wondering. In my younger years, I wrote just for myself and mostly for cathartic reasons. I wrote poetry and tucked them all away for only my eyes to see. They were self-reflections that allowed me a safe look into the deepest recesses of my mind and heart so I could try, try, try, to navigate this world as successfully as I could manage.

 

And then something unimagined began to happen. Over 7 years ago, I was offered my very first freelance job working as a writer. I began helping companies design their About Us and Service pages on their websites, and I was hooked. From there, I was hired to work as a consultant journalist for a local newspaper. I would interview non-profit organizations, local artists, key educational figures, and so many more. I was then asked to work as a contracted copywriter and educational researcher for two different companies. I wrote engaging, call-to-action copy for virtually every service sector, and researched and wrote study guides, practice exams, and answer keys for an educational publisher.

 

There isn't a day that goes by in which I regret taking this leap of faith in my writing career, and I am always looking to meet new people and delve into new projects.

 

As a creative outlet, I have decided that in my spare time I would like to continue to write poetry, political opinion pieces, and articles of general interest. Some of my writing is very controversial and I make no apologies for this - I only forewarn. Other works may prove to inspire and uplift my readers.
